Our Story

LIVANNTO

On making, and making well.

There is a moment, in every pair, when the work is nearly done  and the hand slows rather than hurries. That moment is the whole of it. It is where a shoe stops being an object and becomes something considered.

We did not set out to build a catalogue. We set out to make well, and to make only what is wanted. So we begin where others end: with your order. Nothing is made before it is asked for. Nothing waits on a shelf for a wearer who may never come. Each pair is cut, shaped, and finished by hand  a single piece, brought into being for one person.

This is a slower way. We have made our peace with that. Patience is not a cost here; it is the material we work in, as much as the velvet and the leather.

We keep our house small on purpose. Depth over volume. The known over the abundant. What leaves our hands carries no duplicate and no compromise  only the quiet mark of having been finished with care.

Shoes are not merely worn. They are lived in, walked through, remembered. We make them accordingly.

This is Livannto.
Made by hand. Made to order. Made to last.
